Project Life Tuesday ~ Week 16

I got Monday & Wednesday’s pictures off of the internet by just googling the events.  I wanted to include pics that people took and posted, b/c social media was such a big part of getting info out so fast.  There were updates almost as fast as things were happening, especially later on in the week during the police shootout w/ the 2 brother bombers.

Monday ~ Who: Boston Marathon Runners
What: 2 pressure cooker bombs went off today and they killed 3 people & injured 264.  It was crazy to see how many pics were immediately available thanks to social media.

Tuesday ~ Who: Mom & Dad & Autumn & I & The Scouts
What: The theme for Mom’s Scout meeting tonight was “Soaring With Scouts” and she made this hot air balloon & clouds & butterfly out of food.  We helped her make the airplanes.
Where: The kitchen table & church building

Wednesday ~ Who: 15 people killed more than 160 injured
What: There was a huge explosion that registered as a 2.1 magnitude tremor!  Firefighters were putting out a fire when the explosion occurred.  150 blds damaged.

Thursday ~ Who: Virginia M, Ashley K, Melanie M, Mom & Me, Jessie & Mary J, Kylie & Karri D
What: We all went and saw Wicked.  I went in w/ high expectations b/c people rave about it.  I liked it a lot.  We were in the nose bleed section.
Where: Music Hall at Dallas Fair Park
When: Thurs 4/18/13 at 7:30 pm
I opened up the program and put it in an 8.5x11 plastic sheet.  I also stuck my ticket from the evening into the journaling spot.

Friday ~ Who: Matthew N, Ben D, Gabriel O, Chance W, Peyton D
What: We went to the Dallas Zoo on a field trip.  I liked the giraffes.
Can I just say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card?  Autumn’s adorable 6 year old handwriting just makes me smile.  I need to include things like this more often in my spreads.

Saturday ~ Who: Papa, Jackson, Autumn, Andrew & Aunt Lexie
What: Papa took the kids outside to “help” w/ yard work.  I love that they’re all wearing his coats that are too big.  Lexie taught Autumn how to make friendship bracelets.

Sunday ~ Who: Heavenly Father
What: I absolutely LOVE these Iris that have bloomed lately.  The left hand ones are from over on the lot that Dad transplanted.  The light purple are so pretty.
Where: Mom & Dad’s front yard & Mr. Jim’s yard
When: A beautiful Spring day
