Project Life Tuesday ~ Week 48

IMG_1035

Monday ~ Tonight Mom & Dad got home from their trip to Georgia to visit their friends.  I am SO SAD b/c Mom told the Marshalls (who were watching Emma Dog for them while they were gone) that they could keep Emma.  She is so spoiled and well cared for by the Marshalls.  I know it’s what is best for Emma, but it’s still so sad.  Emma has been a part of our family for so long & I remember the day we brought her home as a brand new puppy.  We will miss having her around so much!  We LOVE you, Emma Dog!
(I had something else planned for this spot, but when I reviewed my blog for the week to do the journaling, I realized that I wanted to include the story of Emma.  So I’ll have to print off a picture of her in my next batch of prints).

Tuesday ~ Autumn was so tired tonight that she fell asleep on Mom’s lap on the couch after dinner.  Liz called to see what we were up to b/c they were in the area.  They came over and said hi and visited for a while.  Mom & Dad haven’t seen Jacob in a long time & were surprised at how much he’s grown.  Autumn & I were watching Full House (her first time ever seeing it) before bed & she said, “That Uncle Jesse is so cute!”  My work here is done.  LOL!

Wednesday ~ Mom is so awesome & went to Autumn’s daycare again this year to help serve the kids Thanksgiving lunch.  Our home teachers came over tonight & Autumn was so naughty that I put her to bed early.  Gone With The Wind was on TV, so I watched that.  It’s crazy that it was done way back in 1939!  It got really cold tonight & I thought this frost on the car windows looked really cool (no pun intended).  I love nature!

Thursday ~ We hung Mimi’s Christmas ornaments by the living room ceiling this morning & then we loaded up the food & kids’ bikes & headed to Tyler & Emily’s house for Thanksgiving.  The kids played outside until it was time to eat.  Nick was so glad he graduated to the adult table this year.  I’m so thankful that we live close to family & that we get to celebrate holidays together & create memories.

Friday ~ It was so nice to be off of work today.  We went & saw “Frozen” & we all loved it, except for Autumn, who cried & cried after the movie.  I went & got my nails done & Autumn got her eyebrows waxed.  Then we spent time together as a family and watched The Croods.  The kids were really good today, so we took them to the musical Christmas tree and let them run and play and have fun.  They loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave.  I love this picture of their innocent childhood silhouettes against the Christmas tree lights.

Saturday ~ Nick & Autumn & I almost killed each other this morning, but we got our outside Christmas lights up.  Then we got cleaned up & went over to Mom & Dad’s house to watch the BYU game.  I went upstairs & crafted w/ Lexie & Mom.  We made 2 sets of the “25 Days of Christ” ornaments & it was a complete labor of love.  We couldn’t have done it w/out Mom.  We had so much fun talking & laughing & bonding.

Sunday ~ Today after church Autumn & I were busy ladies.  I had a Laurel’s class presidency meeting & then we had tithing settlement w/ the Bishop.  Autumn was so proud that she got to say she’s a full tithe payer b/c back in January she paid $2 on her $20 worth of birthday money.  It’s one commandment that we can keep 100%.  We helped Mom w/ putting stamps on the envelopes for the Christmas cards.

IMG_1037This year has just flown by for me, especially since about September.  I blinked & it’s already Christmas!  But that’s exciting b/c that means I’ll be starting a new Project Life album next year.  And as you can see in the pic above, I have a LOT of choices to choose from.  I like to stick w/ one kit & I already have all the cards in the slots and ready to go.  It’s one of the things I do to “KEEP IT SIMPLE, and if it’s simple then it will get done.”  That’s one of my big take aways from the creativeLIVE class w/ Becky herself.  I have Rain, Kraft, Jade, Slate, 5th & Frolic, Blush & Honey editions to choose from.  As of right now, I’m really leaning toward the Honey Edition.

What are your plans for Project Life 2014?

I am linked up over at The Mom Creative.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY Y’ALL!!!

I saw you on creative live and then found your blog. I think it's so interesting that you put all the cards in your album at the beginning. Do you take all your pictures horizontally? What happens if the only picture you take is vertical? Do you still put it in the slot? Love seeing how other people do project life. Also, do you do some other type of album with all the other pl's? Or just save them for another year?

Such beautiful lights and great shot of the frost. I tried to get one this past week but it didn't turn out so great. Love that last picture of you and your little girl--so sweet. have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
