Project Life Tuesday ~ Weeks 45 & 46

Monday ~ Autumn wanted me to put curlers in her hair, so we came home early tonight so we had enough time to do it.  I love this moment I captured of her reading to me w/ curlers in her hair and wearing her cute cupcake pajamas.  So sweet & innocent!

Tuesday ~ Here is what her hair looked like this morning after we took out the curlers. It’s not fun for her to sleep on those foam sticks, but she loves how it makes her long hair so curly and pretty.  I’m glad she’s a girly girl & wants me to do stuff like this.

Wednesday ~ Tonight for dinner we had steak, which Autumn calls “the good meat.”  She’s so spoiled & has such expensive taste.  She wanted to help tenderize the meat, so I taught her how.  She did a great job!

Thursday ~ It was Deb’s birthday on Monday, so a group of her friends (me included) got together tonight at a local place that makes crepes.  It was fun to celebrate with her and have a Girl’s Night Out.  I’m so thankful for her friendship.  She’s a remarkable woman!

Friday ~ Mary, Melanie, Karri and I went to the local high school’s production of Pride & Prejudice.  The kid who played Mr. Collins did a fabulous job.  We went out to eat at On The Border after the play and had so much fun talking and laughing and eating.

Saturday ~ We went to Subway & shared a sandwich like we usually do.  I told Autumn to smile, but she did this instead.  She was trying to do the Hawaiian “hang loose” sign, but instead it looks like she’s doing “call me.”  LOL!

Sunday ~ Autumn wanted Papa to wrestle w/ her, and Emma Dog even got in on the action.  When they were done, Autumn built a fort out of blankets & had Papa & I lay in there w/ her to watch TV.  Childhood joys … love it!

Monday ~ Who: Anyone w/ tastebuds
What: They have these mint & peppermint Hershey chocolate kisses out for Christmas.  They are so good & we love to have them for a treat all season long. YUM!

When: Monday night

Tuesday ~ Who: Work people
What: Tonight it was the Contractor of the Year awards and we submitted 8 projects.  We won 2, which isn’t bad.  The dinner and desserts were super fancy.  It was fun to be around work people away from the office.

Wednesday ~ Who:  Young Men & Young Women
What:  We had our annual Fall Fest activity and it was so fun to see all the creative games each class came up with.  The Laurels won for the 3rd year in a row.  WOOT WOOT!

Thursday ~ Who:  Autumn
What:  Autumn is always asking if we can go over to jump on the “jumpoline.”  We finally had time tonight to go over & she LOVED it.  She loves to let her hair fly around her while she jumps.

When:  Dusk/Twilight

Friday ~ Who:  Papa, Mimi, Autumn, Me, The Eagles
What:  Our football team made it to the State Championships and this was the first game.  We beat the other team (63 to 6) and even though we were the visiting team, our side of the stadium was full and theirs was pretty empty.
Where: Wildcats Stadium in Dallas

Saturday ~ Who:  Dakins & The D1 Eagles Cheer Team
What:  We met up w/ the Dakins for the Candy Canes For Kids.  It was a lot of fun and the kids loved getting to ride the train around.  After that, Autumn & Papa & Mimi & I went to her cheer competition.  They got 2nd place out of 8 teams.
Where:  Local shopping center & local middle school

Sunday ~ Who:  Autumn & Emma
What:  After church we went over to Papa & Mimi’s as usual.  It was so nice outside, so Autumn & I (and Fancy Nancy) did some sidewalk chalk art.  Mom gave Emma Dog a bath in the kitchen sink, and Emma HATES baths.
