Monday ~ Sometimes I feel like I’m drowning in all the ppwk that Autumn brings home from school. Most of the time, I wait until she’s asleep & then I go put it in the recycling bin. I only save the really good or special ones. This was one b/c it made me laugh so hard. They had to use a word that starts with “sl” in a sentence & she came up with, “I like to slap but I can not slap people.” So random & (hopefully) untrue!
Tuesday ~ The reason I don’t have the original “I like to slap” card in my album is b/c Autumn wanted to start her own album! I was so thrilled that she wanted to do Project Life. I let her pick a mini album from my stash & she had me write out what she wanted to say on a scrap piece of paper that she copied onto the cards she picked.
Wednesday ~ Tonight was Young Women’s New Beginnings. The class presidents picked the theme of “Become the rock the river cannot wash away.” The YW secretary put together the gifts & decorations & treats. It was wonderful! These chocolate rocks look like the real thing. I am so thankful that I get to serve in Young Women’s w/ these amazing leaders & girls.
Thursday ~ Tonight was Christine’s bridal shower over at Karri’s house. We all brought treats to share. Then Glenda had us play a fun game where we had to guess what was Christine’s answer to a question & what was Jeff’s answer to that same question. We opened presents & she got lots of fun things. It was such a fun evening & I am so incredibly happy for her.
Friday ~ Tonight Autumn & I decided to go to the Frozen Sing-a-long at the theater. We invited Donna & Abbey to come w/ us. It was a blast to sing along to all of the songs. After each song, everyone in the theater would laugh b/c we were all having such a good time & knew all the words. In the spirit of keeping things real, Autumn had a major melt down after the movie b/c I wouldn’t carry the extra coat she brought. Life isn’t always happy & wonderful.
Saturday ~ I carpooled down to the temple w/ Melanie & Karri & Craig for Christine’s sealing. We were in the big sealing room & almost every seat was filled. It was a beautiful sealing & I cried when I hugged her after. They had a reception at Curt & Mary’s, so we just walked over. She has been through so much & I’m so happy that she’s found Jeff.
Sunday ~ Welcome to the world, Baby Olivia Clara!!! We got a text this morning that she had been born at 11:10 am and was 7 lbs 10 oz & 20.5” long. Poor Riannon was in labor for 35 hours & they finally had to do a C-section. This picture is so tender. They said Nate cried more than Olivia. I can’t believe he’s a Dad! We LOVE you, Olivia.

You had a busy week! So awesome Autumn wants to start her own album! That is fun!! The wedding and bridal shower sounded fun. Temple weddings are just the best. And I totally agree with your Friday comments--real life isn't always happy and wonderful :) Have a great week and congrats on the new baby in your family!!!
Lol! She like to slap but not people. That's hilarious. Too cute about her wanting to do her own book. I bet it will be super cute. Have a great week.
Oh my goodness! That's so wonderful that Autumn wanted to start her own album. My boys are always giving me stuff "to put in my book", but I don't think either will ever be interested in having their own book.
