Monday ~ Tonight I was talking to Nick in his room when I noticed this old school Game Boy & games from when we were kids. It was so fun to spend about 30 minutes playing these old games (Dr. Mario especially) b/c it brought back a lot of memories. It’s crazy how fast technology has advanced.
Tuesday ~ Liz & Liberty & Jacob came over tonight for FHE. We had a (short) lesson about Noah’s ark & how we should follow the prophet (& listen to General Conference). Then we had sheet cake éclairs for the treat & let the kids play while we talked. We love having them over!
Wednesday ~ Tonight for our combined Young Women’s activity we had an “Integrity challenge”. It was interesting to see how the different groups of girls interacted together. By the end of the night, everyone was in a silly mood & decided to make a “seat train.” Poor Finley told me to hurry & take the pic b/c everyone was so heavy sitting on her.
Thursday ~ Today it has been 5 years since my best friend Tara passed away. So, Rachel & I brought our girls to Cracker Barrel for dinner to talk about Tara & share pictures & remember her. It was so bittersweet. I’m glad that Rachel & I just so happened to end up in the same ward. I love Tara so much & miss her incredibly!
Friday ~ Mom & Dad came and picked Autumn & I up and we went to the high school stadium’s parking lot to “tail gate” w/ our fast food. It was the Homecoming game & we won! We sat behind this cute old lady who was REALLY into the game. One of Autumn’s classmates from school was a few rows behind us & came over to say hi.
Saturday ~ Autumn’s game got moved up to 9:00 am today to a stadium b/c it was supposed to rain & they wanted the kids to play on turf instead of grass. Luckily it never rained, and it was nice to sit in real bleachers instead of camping chairs. The support section for the cheerleaders is so much louder than the support section for the football players. I love my cute cheerleader.
Sunday ~ Poor Dad has been sick (you can tell he lost the sparkle in his eyes). A lady that he home teaches dropped off this cake for him to thank him for patching a wall of hers that had a water leak behind it. This cake was a cylinder of watermelon! What a cool & healthy idea for a fancy treat. Dad is such an amazing & Christ-like person.
