Project Life Tuesday ~ Week 19

IMG_9552

For the filler card, I wrote a bunch of our favorite songs on the radio & who the artist is.  This will be so fun to look back on as the years go by.  I like to do this every 10 weeks or so.

Monday ~ My friend that makes bows & hair flowers was having a major sale, so I bought a bunch of them for Autumn.  I decided I also needed to get some for Tiara (Klavdija’s little girl).  I taught Klavdija while on my mission to Slovenija and we’ve kept in touch all these years.  Mom mailed the hair accessories for me, and Klavdija posted this pic of Tiara & Mici wearing the bows.  I LOVE IT!

Tuesday ~ These items represent my day.  I went to Bath & Body works on my lunch break b/c they had a sale on wall plug refills.  Then tonight I taught a class at Liz’s ward’s homemaking meeting about blogging and how to turn it into a book.  When I got home and got Autumn to bed, I made 3 batches of brownies for our YM/YW activity at church tomorrow.

Wednesday ~ Nate got married today to Riannon!  He flew in from Japan yesterday & they got married on the beach in Ventura, CA.  Even though this was so sudden, I’m glad that Mom & Dad decided to be there for it.  I like this pic of the newlyweds w/ the 2 sets of parents.  Welcome to the family, Riannon!

Thursday (same as Friday’s link) ~ It’s been teacher appreciation week at school & we’ve been taking cute little treats to Autumn’s teacher each day.  We took this cute goblet full of candy & this teacher print to her Kindergarten teacher along w/ one to each of the 2 directors of her daycare.  We LOVE our educators!

Friday ~ Karri invited us over tonight b/c our group hasn’t gotten together in a while.  Autumn & I were the only ones that came, but Karri & I had a great time talking & catching up.  Autumn had a great time playing w/ Kenzie & making this huge butterfly out of Kinect pieces.  It was a fun evening.

Saturday ~ Mom had her Scouts over today to work on some presents for Mother’s Day.  One of the Scouts was in the pool shooting hoops and said, “I’m going to grow up to be a world class basketball player.”  The other Scout named Logan said very seriously, “I’m going to grow up to be a world class sunbather.”  We laughed SO HARD!  He is so funny!  I have a feeling we’re going to have a lot of “Loganisms.”

Sunday ~ This “Happy Mother’s Day” card came in the Pocket Pages holiday pack from Michael’s craft store.  There are a variety of different themed packs, and they have 72 cards and are just $4.99 each.  They are perfect for Project Life and I just LOVE THEM!  I did my journaling on the back of this card.  Today was a great Mother’s Day.  Autumn made me a bunch of poems and drawings at school (see insert below).  Dad did the usual tradition of giving Mom & I a corsage to wear to church.  Dad grilled some Ollie North chicken & corn on the cob for dinner.  I’m so glad I got to spend the day w/ my Mom & my Autumn girl.

IMG_9554Some of the Mother’s Day things that Autumn made for me were bigger than 8.5x11, so I used a 12x12 page protector as an insert to hold them.  Inside this drawing are a bunch of notes about why she loves me.  SO TENDER!  She even said to me, “Mommy, aren’t you glad I drew you so skinny?”  LOL!

I am linked up over at The Mom Creative.

Also, my Week 17 spread & inserts were featured on Michelle Bostinelo’s Saturday Project Life Blog Hop!

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY Y’ALL!!!
